Itinerary

Day 01 :
Flight from Frankfurt to Destination

Our trip begins with a departure from one of the available airports: Frankfurt or Istanbul

Day 02 :
Tsagaan Suvarga, White Stupa

Early in the morning, we arrive at Genghis Khan International Airport in the capital of Mongolia. Ulaanbaatar. After breakfast, we head south into the Gobi Desert. Our goal is a rocky massif that from a distance resembles the walls of an ancient city. At sunset, bathed in orange light, this place feels truly magical and plays tricks on your senses

Day 03 :
Tsagaan Suvarga, Eagle Valley

We continue to a canyon known as both the Valley of the Vultures and the Valley of the Eagles. It is deep and narrow, in some places so tight that only two people can pass side by side. In winter, it is covered with a thick layer of ice, which gradually melts in summer. Even though the area gets plenty of sunlight, the canyon floor remains relatively cold all year round due to its depth.

Day 04 :
“Singing Dunes” – Khongor

From Eagle Valley, we travel further into the Gobi Desert, where the landscape gradually
changes. Massive sand dunes appear – something you might expect in Egypt rather than Asia. Stretching over 100 km in length, 12 km in width, and nearly 100 meters in height, the dunes produce a strange sound as the sand shifts and is blown by the wind. Their color changes with the sunlight – from golden yellow to white and back again. We will explore them on camelback.

Day 05 :
“Flaming Cliffs”, Ongi Monastery

We continue deeper into the country and arrive at the “Flaming Cliffs,” a massif that looks like glowing embers. This is where some of the first dinosaur fossils and eggs were discovered. We will also visit Ongi Monastery, which has a tragic past – in 1939, more than 200 monks were executed by the local communist party as part of anti-religious measures.

Day 06 :
Orkhon Waterfalls

Our journey takes us along the Orkhon River – the longest river in Mongolia, stretching over
1,200 km. Along its course are scenic waterfalls formed by the Earth’s tectonic activity.

Day 07 :
Horseback Riding through Central Mongolia [4 days]

Horseback Riding through Central Mongolia [4 days]
We embark on a 4-day adventure, riding through some of the most beautiful regions in Central Mongolia. There’s no need to be afraid – most of our clients have never ridden a horse before, and they still consider this one of the highlights of the trip.

Day 08 :
Relaxation in the Natural Hot Springs of Tsenkher

After our horseback journey, we head to the Tsenkher hot springs. The high-altitude setting adds to the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Emerging from volcanic rocks at a temperature of up to 85°C, the waters are cooled for bathing and are especially beneficial for rheumatic and neurological conditions. They are rich in sulfur and alkaline minerals.

Day 09 :
Khorgo Volcano and White Lake

A charming national park spreads around the extinct Khorgo volcano – once a mighty lavaspewing giant, now a source of life for the surrounding land. We will swim in White Lake and enjoy the stunning scenery.

Day 10 :
Transfer to Ulaanbaatar, Karakorum

We have a full-day transfer back to Ulaanbaatar. Along the way, we will visit Karakorum, the
capital of the Mongol Empire from 1235 to 1260. The city was built on the site of one of
Genghis Khan’s camps and was destroyed in 1338. Today, a museum complex stands on its
remains.

Day 11 :
Ulaanbaatar

The plan includes a city tour with a visit to the National Museum of History, where we will learn about the glorious days of the feared empire. We will visit Gandan Monastery – still home to over 150 monks – which houses an extraordinarily large statue of Buddha. We will also stroll through Chinggis Khaan Square.

Day 12 :
Return Home – Frankfurt

Our trip comes to an end, and we fly back to Frankfurt. We say farewell to our small group and look forward to seeing each other on future adventures.
